As repugnant as Zeke's views may be to many on this board, they are more consistent with the state of the law in the US than are the views of his critics. In other words, the laws are as responsible for the current situation as police behavior is.

The laws and and police behavior derive from needing to send people into rough neighborhoods to fight crime and keep the peace in places rife with crime, drugs, guns, broken families, limited opportunity, poverty ...

But for the grace of God, none of us are street cops in the mean streets of some American cities. Any of us could have been Darren Wilson had we had the inclination to be a cop around Ferguson.
