Check out these numbers for Detroit in 2013. I doubt the Green Zone had remotely as much violence inside its walls.
Murder and non-negligent manslaughter rate per 100,000 people: 45
Total murders and non-negligent manslaughters: 316
Violent crime rate per 100,000 people: 2,072
Total violent crimes: 14,504

Dueling videos! Certainly more entertaining than most of what's posted here lately!

I don't ascribe alternate meaning to members' posts like Joad does. You said Green Zone and I responded to that comment. Now, you move the goalposts.
That notwithstanding, apparently Detroit and Baghdad do indeed have nearly identical murder rates (48.2 and 48 per 100,000 residents, respectively).
http://versus.com/en/baghdad-vs-detroit
In the same vein, Chicago had more murders than Americans killed in Afghanistan in 2012.

How about this list of the most dangerous cities in the world?
Caracas, Venezuela; Juarez, Mexico; Baghdad Iraq; Detroit; New Orleans; Karachi, Pakistan; Capetown, South Africa; Moscow, Russia; Beirut, Lebanon; Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

It is a shame what whites have done to the inner cities.

Skin melanin levels have nothing to do with crime, though actions by whites over the past several centuries have indeed contributed to crime and dysfunction in America's inner-cities.
My point wasn't to criticize African-Americans. It was to say that policing in America's crime-ridden inner-cities is indeed dangerous, without regard to the how and why the crime levels got so high. There's plenty of blame to go around on that score.

Deliberately abandoned, disenfranchised and disinvested in them the instant fair housing and other civil rights era laws required them to let blacks in? In that respect, I'd say you might be onto something.
But, I'm sure you were attempting to suggest something else.

I'm guessing ZeroJunk knows little, if anything, about blockbusting.

Blockbusting, Steering, Redlining......whatever you want to call it. The decline of American cities isn't all about unions. There have been other forces at play for a long time. Anyone who refuses to acknowledge that is either lying, ignorant or paralyzed from the neck up.
