Also I caught mention on a recent tedtalk that they believe some sort of chemical - seratonin? in too great or not enough (can't remember!) present in the cerebral cortex during fetal development can lead to the types of anger that display as these shootings.

And then, there's the fact that these mass shootings account for a very small percentage of overall gun violence.
