Zimmerman trial starts today.

Everyone keeps saying that Zippy was the Neighborhood Watch commander but the HOA (the rightful authority in the community) denies it. That's where I get the opinion that this was simply a vigilante action on the part of Zimmerman and maybe those loyal friends of his who got up on the stand today are his neighbors who were in on it?
Anyone got a link as to how neighborhood watch organizations are constituted and how they are supposed to conduct themselves? Please no links to the KKK...
