And I did miss it but the thrust of the thread is still a dispute over how much violence was appropriate rather than whether it was appropriate at all.

As a teacher, all I would ask is that the kids turn their phones off and put them away. From what I have seen, this is what she did. I think the teacher made a problem where there wasn't one.
