I have done some thinking about what I would do if I were caught in a situation like that and I had my gun with me.

What I have determined is that if I was far enough away to survive the initial attack the first thing I am going to look to do is exit that place ASAP. If that's not a viable option I'm going to look for some cover and get down low and try to hide. Then I'll take out my gun, cock back the hammer and stay put hoping to get a clear easy shot at the shooter from an ambush position. And then only in defense of myself or any members of my family that are there. I would not risk giving away my position by taking a shot to defend any strangers that I don't know. I'm looking to survive, not be a fucken hero. Of course I can never know what I would actually do unless I was in that situation, but I hope to Hell I wouldn't try to gunfight the guy like John Wayne.

I'm just being honest here. I doubt seriously any of these macho gun nut idiots would do any different.
