The number of movie tickets sold in the U.S. last year was 1.34 BILLION (WSJ). Your odds of getting shot in a theater remain vanishingly low.

And of course with ticket sales actually trending slightly downward, the last thing operators are going to want to do is feed an irrational fear of theaters.
