My RWS 350 Magnum (.22) could kill something if I could only hit something with it.
It really is a hard air rifle to get the hang of.

Shooting spring piston guns, particularly the high-power ones, is tricky indeed. Generally, you need to grip the forend very lightly or even just let it rest in your hand. Also, be sure not to grip tightly with the trigger hand. Lastly, if shooting of a bench, don't rest it on a hard surface.

In short, very light gripping front and back and no resting on hard surfaces. Also, pellet rifles can be very picky about which pellets shoot best. I've had the best performance from RWS Meisterkugeln.

With the right pellets and good shooting form, I can shoot a group about the size of a dime at 20 yards with my Gamo 1000 fps .177 scoped rifle. Bad form and lesser pellets will triple the group size.

I've noticed I can't miss with muh old Mossberg pump with a 30" full choke tube.

At least as far as I can see.

But that's cheating.

I once chased a would be home invader off of my porch and down the street with a Hickory ax handle. He never came back. Admittedly, I know very little about guns. But, you can bet your kidneys that I would have crushed his skull and enjoyed it. Probably a whole lot more than shooting him. Too quick, not enough screaming and pointless begging for mercy.

I have an eight year old grandson that got top scores in scouting on his DAISY! Gotta teach em early.

Hope your hand is healing nicely.

Just got back from burning up a few hundred rounds with the Missus. She's breaking in her first auto pistol and did good for first time out. My damn high power is shooting about 2 inches left all the sudden. Nice tight groups, just a hair left. It's got combat sights, so adjusting should be a snap. I checked out the old deer rifle too, just in case, and man I'm near blind. At 80 yards with iron sites I could just barely stay inside the black. Good thing my average deer shot is closer to 30 or 40. It was so bad that I actually thought that maybe it's time for a scope, but talked myself out of it pretty quick. Maybe next year, or the next.

Face it, TD, you're just starting to lean to the left.
