So let's talk about pop guns.
I like revolvers, bolt actions, and pumps.
My favorites are my two Ruger M77's, one in .25-06, the other a 77V in .243. The varmint gun will shoot 3/4" MOA with my crude handloads...I buy factory seconds from Sierra , their factory is about 30 miles away.
The best I can remember, 70 gr Blitz in whatever brass I've got, neck sized, 46 grns of IMR 4350 with CCI BR2 primers.
Don't quote me on this load, but it does produce close to 3,400 FPS, according to the old Speer #9.
Now you can pretty much quote me on my favorite .25.06 load, 120 gr Nosler BTSP over 50 gr. of IMR 4831 with a CCI BR2 primer.
According to the book, 3,000FPS, and this load gives up nothing to a 130 gr. .270 load.
Btw, Finn, would you like pics of my Great Gran fathers original .Marlin .410 lever action?
Only 6K produced, and mine has the 26" barrel. Had to do a little smithy work on it, but I killed a rabbit with it a few years ago.
I also own a NIB Iver Johnson Champion 16 Ga. Supposdly never fired, but I don't buy that.
But it is as slick as snot on a doorknob, and the box it came in is marked like something like $7.50???
You've already seen pics of my Python Elite and Diamondback .22...I was hoping they would connect and produce a Cobra.

Now I've got to go check my .270 rounds as I'm pretty sure I have them moving at about 3300fps but they may not be as heavy as the 130 grain tip.

The load that made the 270 famous (and that I mostly shoot) is either a 130 gr. Sierra or Speer BTSP on top of 60.0 gr of H4831. Wonderfully accurate and hard-hitting at about 3060 fps. Anymore, I mostly bowhunt and do a little blackpowder on the side.

I loaded Nosler Ballistic tips for deer hunting but think I went with a light bullet to get a faster muzzle velocity. I know The deer only took about three steps after it hit him. Shooting a a Browning BAR .270

I bet a light, fast ballistic tip tore a nasty hole. I shoot the 130 gr. load out of a Remington 700 ADL, wood stock (bedded/floated), trigger job, and a 3-9x Leupold VariXII.
I also have a Model 7 (shorter barreled) in .223 with a 3-9X VariXII Compact scope on it. It is most accurate with 52 gr. match BTHP's. I buy factory seconds from Black Hills for this one.

My 30-06 Springfield been good enough for me the past 30 something years. Though bought my wife a Ruger SS 10/22 and scoped it up for her. Cheaper to shoot for sure.
Back to MM and his movies, he states some view points that should make one think! "WTF"
Painful to some but still he does has a right to point them out. You never know what is the truth if you only listen to what makes you feel good........

It's interesting that people want to take shots at Moore like he doesn't deserve to be rich, but defend the exorbitant pay of CEO's. Moore, however, is much more directly responsible for his income than the CEOs. Moore's income is a direct result of the success of his movies - how many fannies he puts in the seats and how many DVDs he sells. The compensation of the CEOs on the other hand are dependent on their cronies scratching each others' backs by serving on the boards approving the salaries. Why does the right wing so hate people who have been successful.

Well, when the source of that success is your uncanny ability to point out how full of excrement they are.........................

Guess my Crossman .177 wadbuster won't kill anything but I bet it smarts some.

From what I've seen and heard if you are part of the 1% or even part of the upper rich then it does not matter how you got there. You owe and you better pay.
It is interesting how all the rich liberals get a pass though. (ie...mm)
