As Lehman Bros. went down the tubes triggering the second worst economic downturn in our nation's history, he stated "I believe the fundamentals of this economy are strong." And that came after picking the even more clueless dolt from Wasilla as his running mate.
I had the utmost respect for McCain until his disavowed all his previous beliefs during the campaign. He's
now even to the right the person I thought was the most clueless doofus in the Senate, Jeff Sessions. That's deserves a lifetime achievement award for cluelessness.
