Google around for McCain leaning left or casting liberal votes and you get page after page of how he is liberal or leaning to the left. My point is that most of the clowns in DC do whatever it takes to get the most votes for themselves. It's like polls... depending on how or when you ask the question you can get any answer you want.

More shrillness, more appealing to the lunatic fringe..........2012 is going to be a friggin' circus.

I'd love to see Hillary run, but I think she is still shell shocked from the 08 run. On the right, I do not know who would be my choice. I hope it's not Palin, McCain, Romney, or Huckabee. I like Newt, but he has far too much political baggage. And yes, like always, it is going to be a circus. I'd like to see a single, say, six year term for president and only one term for anyone in the congress. Career politicians ought not exist.

I would like to see use adopt a sane election system and do away with the Iowa and New Hampshire nonsense.

Those criminals were exactly that. With McCain, it's just politics.

To further mess up the system some states use 'first past the post' to assign their electoral votes while others more fairly apportion them according to the popular vote. The Electoral College may have had a purpose at one time but it no longer serves any useful function - other than to distort the will of the people.
