There is a Southpark episode, where the school is holding elections for their school mascot. The problem is that their candidates resolve to 2: a giant douche and a turd sandwich.

Really? Are these 2 candidates the best that either party has to offer? If so, we all need to locate and start donning our water wings, because this ship is going down.

I find that Whell is quick and good on his toes. That is, he is an excellent boxer.

Probably this has led to extreme frustration and thus unfortunate reactions.

Trump is a narcissist and believe me I know one when I see one, my late wife's son was a first class example.'=

As for Hillary in all seriousness the jury is still out IMHO, I feel that had I been subjected to as much unproven slander as she has been I would be hesitant to open my soul to public scrutiny.

Of course where I was educated we were taught to think for ourselves. As well having had the great good fortune to have been married to, and unconditionally loved by, a strong accomplished woman they don't scare me.

And on this fine morning I'm willing to accept that. Oh I know it's perfectly justifiable to take it as condescension, but I accept it was done without consideration or malice, so let's not prosecute. I've done worse.

Such as yesterday evening. Basically, in our boxing match (good analogy, dondillion), whell dropped his guard, and I whapped him a couple of good ones. Part of that was my anger at Mr. Whell. On this fine morning we'll let the 'justifications' for my anger pass.

And a big part of it was taking my anger at Trump and everything out on whell.

If we can, I want to rewind the clock to this message:

Whell saying he's not sold on Trump totally is an unusual moment in this 1000-round boxing match. Whell's boxing style is generally not to admit that leftists could possibly be even a tiny bit right about anything. Here that policy was dropped, and whell speaks with openness and honesty about his own doubts.

I proceeded to clobber him for it. Called him a hater. I now apologize for that. I waded in boxing, when the truth is I don't actually like boxing, and I don't like myself when I catch myself doing it.

So here's how I now wish I had responded:

Whell, I'm intrigued by what you say, and I'd like to understand more. What big groupthink mistake is happening in the media? It is wrong to label Trump a demagogue? If you think that, can you explain why?

I'd also be interested in what parts of the 'Trump total package' give you pause at this time.

You're still boxing.

Well, you have to admit that if I am, it is kinder and gentler boxing.

And you, as usual, are still using your judo, and, as is quite typical, you're using it on me.

Nah. I think we've moved from boxing to sparring. Much better.
