A question for our Republican friends.....
 

So, how many here will be supporting Trump simply because he's not Hillary?

Wouldn't Republicans be supporting Trump because he's their party's candidate?

More likely it's about Supreme Court appointees rather than Trump's qualifications.

True. What I'm getting at is I was just wondering how many would vote for him that don't really like the guy at all. I've talked with some that think he's a Democratic Trojan Horse.

I've also met a lot of Democrats who feel the same way about Hillary. The fact that she came from a Republican background, they way she panders to large corporations, her relentless "truthiness"........Sure looks like a Republican to a lot of people.

Pretty much so, but there are still some difference. My rice bowl is better served by the Democratic Party.

One really needs to look at those he is bringing in and who is coalescing around him. They are definitely NOT moderates.
This isn't a choice I would make based on mere hope.

Agreed. I suspect the reason for the rather eloquent silence is that Dave's question was directed at those who will support Trump only because she isn't Hillary. I think our resident Republicans here will all vote for Trump on his own merits. Or haven't you noticed the dearth of sanity and reason among them.

Being on a tiny phone with no time to fight three toddlers to keep hands off a PC, I'll try to say this in a nutshell before the toddlers get into something else.

I voted for Trump and plan to do so again in November. It's not just because he's not Hillary, but in all honesty I do not like her much either. I don't worship Trump, that's for sure, but I support him because he's the only one who is on key with what many people feel needs to be done. Control our borders, properly vet each and every person BEFORE they are allowed to enter the USA, and it'd be nice to see made in USA once again on the things that we buy. It'll mean an American has a job making it. Even some of our most costly tools are showing up on tool trucks with made elsewhere printed on them. Prices are still premium though of course. EPA is driving much stuff out of our country, just write a tool company a letter asking why they doing this and then read about how hard it is to chrome plate something in the USA now. If the things the EPA is such dicks about in the USA is so important to the environment then what's the difference in making it elsewhere... it'd still impact the environment either way so why not leave USA companies alone? It only hurts us when they dick us but ok it to be made offshore the same way. The jobs belong here.

Yeah Dave it sure would be nice to see 'Made in the USA' on stuff again. Makes me wonder though how many Democrats are running the companies that are shipping all the work overseas.

Don't know what it is like in your neck of the woods but it is hotter than Hades here in Maryland, maybe the GOP has interfered with the EPA so often that it is too late to stop climate change now. Wonder what sort of a world those three kids are going to inherit? Sure does not look promising for my two granddaughters.
