Or perhaps contempt.

Seriously? I feel sorry for you, Don.

Don't know if you caught this thread, or this post: http://www.politicalchat.org/showpos...2&postcount=43 I wrote my perspective, particularly the second paragraph. It was not a complaint. It was experience. I'm still here, so it doesn't bother me.

I will admit to taunting, but I'm also a regular recipient. I admit to insulting but if you're poster on the right here, you're subject to a pretty steady stream of sarcastic comments and insults. Again, not complaining, it comes with the territory. I will say that I have never dropped an F-bomb on anyone here. It have been the recipient, however.

Lie? No sir. I don't lie. I say what I believe. Now, you might not agree with it, but just because you don't agree with it doesn't make it a lie.

Not a man of goodwill? Not sure how you define that term. In the limited context of this forum, where most folks come to vent, disagree, post comments which are often quite 1/4 fact and 3/4 hyperbole, I'm not sure what you think you're expecting to find here. If you think all members here post and respond to posts always leading with "goodwill", THAT would be "a triumph of denial."

Oh, fer Pete's sake. You're the absolute poster child for a glass house resident that really needs to put the stones down.

Maybe so, but they don't let people toss the old ones in the SF bay anymore. There is a dog park a mile away or so they made out of an area they called Battery Bay. No way they could clean it up. We still have bayfront property that is still too toxic from dumping 100+ years ago nearby too.
I'm just concerned about the 1890 sewer pipe that still in use in front of my house. It did make it though a few decent sized quakes though in it's time. Nothing like Arnold's Bay Bridge, defective from day one.

Now, when I read that, I see a media that stares at Trump through the same semi-hysterical prism that seems to make the rounds with the pool of reporters inside the beltway.

On the other hand, CNN polled their viewers immediately after Trump's acceptance speech and asked viewers for their take on what they heard. The results were very positive. Of course, you'll find no mention of those poll results on CNN's web site...at least I couldn't find them.

It goes back to my prior post. It's stunning to me the on-going disparity between Trump's primary results, his polling results which continue to close the gap on Clinton, packing convention halls when he's campaigning, etc., and the media's near universal contempt. Its even more striking - using yesterday's acceptance speech as an example. Most major media panned Trump's speech - even using exactly the same words sometimes to do it. Yet, CNN's viewer polling - and I can't imagine CNN's viewership dominated by Republicans - showed favorable responses.

Good will: seeking always good ends by good means, would be one explanation. It's an ideal, always mixed with it's opposite in reality, but the proportions can vary a lot from case to case.

There is little of it in your posts here, and your general methods tempt others away from it.

And the MSM has it right. Trump is dangerous and an affront to our constitution and our nation's principles. To even treat this fascist buffoon with anything other than contempt is doing the nation a disservice.

Fucking up a cliche again? In what sense do I live in a glass house? Why should I fear your stones?

One has to consider that the polling would have been of people who wanted to expose themselves to the spectacle of the Trump speech.
