If a bunch of people believed you knew how to understand a dictionary, that would also be a myth.

No, it might be a misperception but it wouldn't be a myth.

"I will build a big beautiful wall". Can not be verified, yet many people believe in it. This one's not yet a myth, but well on it's way.
A myth is "a widely held but false belief or idea", a dictionary definition that I adhere to. Applying this definition, a myth cannot be verified to be true.

All of your examples above can, have been or will be verified. But here is my two cents. #1 was a lie (a blatant one at that), #2 an un-kept promise or false prediction (to believe that Obama had control over this is being naive), #3 was a lie (we expect most people to lie about this any way), #4 is just a brag (can or will never be executed).

Now how about "I can see Russia from my backyard'? A myth or an exaggeration in your book? I know it's a cheap shot.

#3 was NOT a lie.

"Sexual relations" indicates intercourse.

Slick Willie, yo.

Anything later verified to be false was a myth all along.

"Saddam has WMDs" was widely believed. We later learned it was a myth. No longer a myth as it is no longer widely believed.
"Cost of your insurance will not go up" was widely believed. We later learned it was a myth. No longer a myth as it is no longer widely believed.
"I did not have sex with that woman"..... ok, you got me, this one was never widely believed.

"I can see Russia from my backyard" was a quote by Tina Fey impersonating SP, and it was an exaggeration for comedic effect. It became a myth that SP actually said this herself.
SP said there were parts of Alaska where you could see Russia. That was neither an exaggeration or a myth.

The dictionary could have six definitions, but if it still missed what I said, it would still be missing a lot. Same seems to go for you.

I believe you know how to use a dictionary. Whether or not you understand it is a matter of interpretation.

All this talk about myths has me wanting a gyro.

Try Ambien or Lunesta for those nightsweats, my friend. Cruz couldn't beat an avowed Dem So@ialist, if it comes to that.
