I believe the cops/judges/lawyers/court workers/prison guards are all out for themselves at the end of the day, and that the police are completely out of control. Their unions are so strong you can hardly do anything about it anyway. I've heard they start despising the public they are sworn to defend.
That said, sometimes people get killed, and sometimes they have no choice in it. Pete
