My position has always been that it looked like "innocent black kid who did nothing murdered by white cop" was a POSSIBLE true description.* I've been arguing with those who were quite certain this description, or anything else besides "good shoot," could be dismissed out-of-hand. And further argument has been over claims of extremely wide freedom of action for police officers, that seemed to include "He's getting shot" as a commandment from God or something.
And if you don't find some odor of 'defense by character assassination' in the announcement of the robbery evidence, for the first time, at the same time as the disclosure of the identity of the officer who shot Brown, your nose may not be working at it's best.
* there are other possibilities as well, besides "good shoot.'
