Indeed and well put Barney. This idea splitting the state up has been floated time and again. It has as much of a chance as a snowball in hell of happening.

Me too. I'm on vacation in Phoenix. Spent the other day relaxing here. Am going to go out and take the granddaughter swimming now. It is 8:13am and 90° out. Going home later this evening.

Hope you are enjoying our nice weather while you are here. When I get home from work I'm planning on jumpping into my pool at the house.

From Wiki:
" As of the 2010 U.S. Census, the county has a population of 9,818,605,[5] making it the most populous county in the United States. Los Angeles County alone is more populous than 42 individual U.S. states."
What an f***ing wateland!
Real problem? The county is almost 70% Democratic.

Enjoy the time with the grandkids, they grow up so fast. Not enough hours in the day filled with happiness. Tough to leave most of the time.
They will be spending a couple of days with us this week while their house gets some work done. Had to move stereo gear out of a room last night. Gladly I will say!

Split it up into 42 states and see what the GOP thinks then! "O" did you feel and hear that? A collective puckering and gasp from the right at that thought!

That is almost the population of my two home states together. Oregon and Washington combined total about 10.8 million, and Washington ranks 13th in population. Funny thing is, if you took the single most populous city out of either state it would completely change the state from Democrat to Republican.

That's alright. Then they would just seek funding from the Feds. And all in the name of "rugged individualism".
