Therein lies the fallacious argument that federal government is out to get your rights and freedoms. Try using the ballot box as opposed to voicing disengenous positional talking points. The downfall of specious arguments is that most people after a certain amount of reflection realize just how much bullshit is being shoveled their way and the audience votes with their remotes.

By the way, who actually wrote that last sentence BH?
Theoretically. However as government grows and grows our 'by the people and for the people' becomes more and more limited. We end up no better than the sham elections in various backwater countries, or perhaps Europe

We're a long way there already.
