I'm sure the Great and Mighty Obama will foreswear evil superpac support, just as he stood by public campaign financing.

I'll betcha he would sign legislation restricting superpacs - that is if such legislation could get through the house and avoid a filibuster.

Regards,

D-Ray

Nice posturing on their part, forgive the cynicism.

Will he return the contributions from Bain?

The law was "legislated from the bench" by a conservative majority SCOTUS.

Just sayin'................

The same people who legalized bribery. The strange part is they said the First ammendment supports lobbying. I think that we can agree that when the Constitution starts "We the people of these United States . . " that subsequent use of the word "people" can be understood to mean citizens of this country.

So how is lobbying for Abu Dhabi covered by the First? Inquiring minds want to know.

But, Rob....Corporations are people too...And the really well moneyed ones are even more people-like than that.

Rolling back an overzealous legislature is not legislating from the bench. Creating new laws or rights or whatever you want to call this is.

I realise this may prevent the lefts' dream of government deciding everything we do to help and or protect us. We're basically stupid and it's amazing we can tie our own shoes in the morning.

So, superpacs are only made up of corporations? And corporations are not made up of people who joined willingly?
