Nah, it's all that matters to the GOP! D-uh

I'm not tooooooo worried about the candidate. Remember Clinton?

I wouldn't be so sure. He is good at campaigning and still has a favorable press. I hope that he is clearly defeated in 2012. Of course, like the peanut farmer, we will then be listening to him for the next 30-40 years. I'm still amazed that he was elected in 2008 over Hillary. The idiot McCain helped that happen.

So we can keep the current version of awful in the White House, or elect new awful in 2012. I'll take the latter, because that's change I can believe in.

It will, of course, again be the choice between the lesser of two evils. Maybe the GOP will offer up something better than McCain/Palin. OTOH, if Tea Party influence puts somebody like Gingrich, Bachmann, Palin, or Trump anywhere near the ballot, you may as well resign yourself to a second Obama term.

I think they still need more convincing...and I will help in this educational process in any way I can.

I know you like him, but I'm not sure your one vote will carry him over the line. Obama beating Trump would be a cakewalk of epic proportions, probably bigger than his margin over McCain. However, Trump doesn't have a snowball's chance in Phoenix of getting the nomination.
