If the US has everything as you claim, why do we import so much from other countries? Do we even make a light bulb?
Shouldn't we have learned from our Covid experience that we depend on China for most of our daily needs?

And why do we borrow so much money just to survive economically? Reality is that if we don't buy from China, the Chinese peasants will not have the money to loan us.

I remember reading a case study about how Phillips made a disaster decision to close one of the best light bulb factories in the world, in the US, in favor of building a new one in Mexico. They lost their shirts trying to get the new Mexico thing working right. It was a study in corporate governance gone dysfunctional which happens a lot. Corporations are no more deserving of unchecked power than anyone else.
