[QUOTE=Rajoo;435857]Call it the billionaire boomerang: The ultrawealthy are turning on Trump over tariffs

Those with the most are feeling the most financially in numbers.

Is Trump listening? Probably not.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That is his strong suit... long-term consistency. Trump started his tariff crusade from 2017/18.

BTW did the Democrats make any fundamental change to that crusade? The Dems adopted and adapted. Now watch them operate whatever the outcome of any future election.

Trump knows he has the ship sailing and whoever takes power will adapt.

I would suggest that a chief weakness is 'no one can tell him anything.'

But sure, the Dems probably left the tariffs in place just because it was a done deal and they didn't want to take the revenue hit. As for the future, it's always hard to make predictions about the future....

According to Rex Tillerson, that's a hard Yes.

The Dems went beyond the tariffs; especially in relation to China.

As always with you, cryptic nonsense with zero attribution. That's why you are so unpopular here - you are the very model of a conspiracy theorist.

Other than Biden keeping the tariffs imposed on China by Trump, what other concessions did the Dems make? You just cannot make blanket statements without attribution or an explanation.

Here is some very informative MAGA talk.

MAGA Maoism is spreading through the populist right

A new conservative strain dreams of sending the bourgeoise to work the factories.

Quote:
Recently, a viral meme in MAGA circles captured the moment, featuring a cartoon Trump addressing a faceless American: “Your great grandfather worked the mines, your grandfather worked in a steel plant, and you thought you could be a ‘product manager’ ???” It’s a joke, but it’s also a worldview — one where white-collar ambition is seen not as a step forward, but as a fall into decadence. The meme doesn’t just mock digital work; it exalts physical labor as the only authentic form of contribution.
No wonder Trump is withdrawing funding for a prestigious university like Columbia. Most factory workers are being replaced by robots and Musk is hoping to monopolize this sector since robots are infused with Artificial Intelligence ().
