Clyburn made Biden president in exchange for making a "black" woman VP. My understanding anyway. Otherwise it may have been quite likely Bernie Sanders.
So, whatever. Biden had dementia shortly. Harris was a terrible candidate.
If Michelle had wanted to do it, she would be President Elect.

A thought occurred to me. Dump got in in 2016 because a lot of voters did not think he could win but just stayed home rather than pull the lever for Hillary. She garnered enough votes to win the popular vote but that damn Electoral College... Here in 2024 did something similar happen to prevent Harris from winning the election? We know trump's worshippers would crawl over broken glass to vote for him but did enough people in key areas simply sit this one out? Is that the real elephant in the room?
Just a thought.

It was tough for me, Rickey.
I pulled the lever for Harris, even though I didn't want the first 'First Man of the United States' to be an individual with 'Jewish' heritage.
(The new found, shear hatred of racists is still pure HATRED.)
I knew my vote would be tossed out, because I live in 'Red State'.
We have a Democrat Governor, Laura Kelly. I have Sharice Davids in the House of Representatives, I guess my vote counted on that level, because she won. But at the presidential level, my vote was tossed (and I knew it was going be tossed). I was born in the State of Kansas. I'm going to die here, why it's Red, I have no idea.
It's a bizarre world. I love the actor, Denzal Washington. He's not in denial about being a racist.
I don't hate Jewish people, I just can't believe .06% of the world's population 'control' everything.

You asking if Democrats stayed home because of what was happening in the supermarket, or they did not like political intrigue involved in the Obama/Biden/Kamala matrix, or, or,....

Massive NONSENSE.
Your post #33 reeks of antisemitism.

Since we don't have a like button.
Trump did "ok" for people to wear their hate on their sleeve.

They don't control everything, with or without quotes. Their influence is outsized, because their culture of some Jewish groups got good at meritocracy early. They promoted their smart people. They have been assimilating fast into US culture. The anti-jews, in almost any dimension, are the Christian Nationalists, but they aren't worth supporting on this basis, they are if anything more totally pro-Israel than our Jews.
Don't be anti-semetic. No group is worthy of hate.

Thank you, DonQ. All schmaltz aside, you're a good egg and a credit to this forum.

I'm sure there was more than a couple of reasons. I'm just speculating about a possible one. It could temper that "the Dems gone too far left" narrative.
