“The Donald Trump thing and the market amazes me. When they’re up, it’s all because of him, and they’re looking forward to him. When they’re down, it’s all because of the Democrats and how horrific they are. Yet, of our biggest-point falloffs – three of the biggest top 10 occurred during his administration. Now, a lot of those were in the Covid years. I get that. But you know, you either own the markets or you don’t. It does confuse me.”

So you're saying Joe really does own this shaky economy, including the Monday stock slide?

Oh, I have no trouble reading. Your post above chided me for not agreeing that Trumps is "a convicted felon and rapist", and that I must think its "fake news". Now you're suggesting you didn't say that?

A "rapist" is one who commits rape, unless you and your fellow travelers are trying to change the definition. Every state, including New York where a particular civil judgement was reached, says that rape is a felony.

So, you called Trump a "rapist". Seems pretty clear to me that you were making the allegation. Now, just to help you out, here's what really happened in the civil trial:

This is a civil case, not a criminal one. The jury was not asked to find Trump "guilty" or "not guilty," but whether he was liable for an attack on Carroll. They had several alternative verdicts to consider.

In written instructions, U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan asked jurors to decide whether the "preponderance of the evidence" shows that Trump "raped," "sexually abused," or "forcibly touched" Carroll. The jury checked "no" on the rape question.

So, Carroll didn't prove a case for "rape", even using the much lower bar that exists in civil proceedings.

There, did that clear things up for you? Or do you prefer your own unique interpretation of the facts?

He didn't say that Trump was a convicted felon and a convicted rapist. He said he was a convicted felon and a rapist. He most certainly is a convicted felon and the presiding judge said he could correctly be referred to as a rapist in the common understanding of the word.

If you really want to die on the hill of "sexual assault with forced digital penetration" (something Trump brags about doing) isn't rape, have at it. It just shows how defending Trump leads you down the path of defending the indefensible. Congratulations for having arrived at that point (not that you weren't already there).

Why are you dancing on the head of a pin about this?

Rapist: one who commits rape.

Rape: Felony.

Yet you're the one adamantly defending a proven sexual predator whose actions the presiding judge characterized as rape.

If it was your daughter that Trump did this to, I suspect you'd have a different view.

Step back for a moment and consider what you are defending here. Are you really comfortable with this?
