The next time someone says ""I want my country back!""

Ask what country is that?

They inevitably will respond ""AMERICA!"" Or less likely ""United States of "".

Then reply, Just which America is that, Native Black White Muslim Latino Gay.....

Yet another racist bigoted remark out of their lips.....

After having been told by Repub leadership that it, among other things, has been taken away from them by a group the Repub leadership has been vilifying and demonizing for years. No wonder the "I want my country back" crowd views anyone not one of them at best their opposition and at worst, their enemy.

The country they want back only existed from 1861-1865.

I get that, but they identify with the losers. What does that say about them?

Speaking of Fake News, here are 4 recent articles from the Wall St Journal about the now discredited Durham investigation.

What's more amazing is that you'll now see MAGA types flying the Stars & Bars in northern or western states that were never associated with the Confederacy, and even in states that fought the Confederacy. In West Virginia the Confederate battle flag is commonly seen, notwithstanding the fact that West Virginia was created by seceding from ... the Confederacy.

California went from the passage of Prop 187 with a 17-point margin in 1994 to Senate Bill 54 just a few years ago. Hell, it's now a crime in California to report a violation of immigration law in CA. CA's far left-leaning legislature continues to offer up regulations that make the state more accommodating.

Because of this shift, CA has been building a house on sand with their budget. Undocumented workers contribute an estimated $3.7 Billion to the state's coffers. That's an amount that has doubled over the past several years. With 1 in 16 workers in CA being undocumented, it would likely be significant harm to California's economy if there was proactive enforcement of immigration laws.

If you're in favor of enforcing immigration law in CA, probably best not to expend energy complaining when you know it will fall on deaf ears.

BS. A good portion of this state went for Trump in 2016. Can't say I've never seen someone displaying a Confederate flag here, but it certainly isn't any more prevalent since 2016. Quite the opposite, in fact. Particularly in rural or suburban areas, the number of folks flying the Stars and Stripes holds steady, maybe even increased.
