Many positives yes, but are we using them to ignore the negatives? Why are we as a country not addressing them? A few that stand out:

"You live in the main global superpower. A country that can wipe a lot of other places off the map. Your country has so much wealth — yet people die of treatable health problems because they can’t afford to go to the doctor."

To Brooklyn, New York in the early nineties the Haitians came dirty and poor. At the bottom of Linden Boulevard every nook, however small was occupied by the ragged Haitians. Now they own blocks and blocks of houses in the Brooklyn area.Their kids are well represented as professionals, especially in the medical field.
The Chinese...what can I say about their achievement in one or two generations.
America is number one for the cohesive family.

What are your thoughts on the points outlined in the linked article? Seems like there are things we Americans could be doing better.

Title changed to align with what the post is about.

Interesting how others view us as opposed to how we view ourselves.

More like observations and comments rather than criticisms. The closest they got to politics was #8 but #10 surprised me.

Having the pleasure of working in a industry with people from across the world. Some just visitors some immigrants new and long term. Along with my fellow countrymen together.

Others who have the same experience know that the average blue collar US citizen would be the lease educated lease knowable self assured opinionated know it all in any room.

Just wish this country would live up to the sales pitch put forth. There is so much potential for growth that is being wasted.

OBTW.... The foreigners for the most part I have met. Love the country and the opportunities. Just get the impression they think it is populated with a large group of arrogant and self centered locals to deal with.
