BTW Canada is the result of land grabs, just like the US and Mexico. So your often times belly aching about James Polk is neither here nor there.

Agree that we Europeans as good as stole the land from it's native people although I note that the Canadian government recently made part of the Northwest territories a self governing area for them.. Of course it is believed that no one is native to NorAm and that the first peoples came across a land bridge in the Aleutians.

Regardless of how Mexico came into being does one crime excuse another? Rather puts an interesting slant on history.
