Nah, this is all just too cute for that. These folks HAVE to know better.
Lynch knows what the FBI has. If she has any aspirations of a career in politics as a Democrat, there's no upside for her to be the presiding AG when the FBI delivers its recommendation, particularly if its bad news.
I think Lynch wanted to get out of the way. This might just give her a way to do it without getting too politically "damaged".

...and then the other shoe falls:
http://dailycaller.com/2016/07/01/ex...i-on-saturday/
Former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to meet Saturday with the FBI, a source close to the investigation into her private email server tells The Daily Caller.
The source went on to suggest the interview may take place at her Washington, D.C. home.

I don't know what's more amusing, the conspiracy theories from the right about this fifteen minute schmooze fest on the tarmac in Phoenix or the breathless handwringing anticipation of an indictment from the far left.
Carry on.

Slick Willie should have known better as well, but then again we're talking about the Clintons who don't think the law should apply to them anyway.

That applies to about 1% of the population.....or more.
But you can't really blame them, they own the lawmaking process...

AG Lynch said there was nothing improper discussed. I'll take her word for it until something other than speculation is offered. The woman has a spotless record.

Even you have to admit that the optics of this are really really bad. Bill Clinton is reckoned to be some brilliant political strategist, "he smartest guy in the room". He had to know how bad this would look so the only logical conclusion is that he felt the meeting was critical to the campaign and basically worth the risk.
