"His estimated bill is $8,000, including $1,000 per night in hotel expenses."

Someone oughta tell this 19 year old kid to find a Motel 6 instead of living it large at the Ritz/Carlton.

That's obviously inflated, but it would be real easy to run up three grand when you count airfare. Some of these poor schmucks are working $10 an hour gigs at the Health Food store. They're eating Ramen noodles every night to make the rent. I feel sorry for the poor young naive sumbitches. They actually think they're going to "make a difference".

An old Dude like myself that has been around the block as many times as I have has seen how the game really works and gets pretty jaded.

Hopefully he savvy enough to make some connections and learn the ropes while he's in Philly. Then he can bring that experience home and run for a local school board or something. He's got enough fire in his belly otherwise he wouldn't have volunteered.

That's where all the hookers will be staying.

You cheated us out of Bernie's nomination, but you're willing to give us a shot at a local school board seat as a consolation prize?

Gee Dude, that's real White of you.

I? By that I assume you mean myself and 4 million more voters who prefer Clinton over another politician.

You really are unreal, Joad. Climb down off that cross, someone needs the wood.

Bernie lost by a landslide, time to deal with it.

Not my problem. Philly deserves any and all the money they can squeeze out of the convention. This is the Superbowl of politics. You pay to play/attend.

Sound like a broken record Bob, those numbers have no statistical credibility. It's an election conducted by a private club with 50 branches.

The real problem is that Hillary is starting the general election campaign at a -55% negative rating and this is before Trump has started playing pinata with her.

And speaking of Super Bowl.....
Here's what it cost to go there

Plenty of people can come up with the money to go to a ball game.... They should also be able to figure out how to afford a convention.
