I also have a Ruger .357 for my house gun. .

It's the blued version of the GP 100 with a 4 inch barrel and the rosewood insert grips.

I really love that gun.

It's built like a tank, but it's way too big and heavy for concealed carry.

I had one of those with the 2.25 inch barrel for a while.

It's a real well made gun.

But I found it too heavy for carrying in my pocket.

Plus the .357 round had quite a bite to it with that short barrel.

Every time I went to the range I would be right on target with my first round of the day, but after that I was all over the place because I couldn't keep from cringing in anticipation of that recoil.

My S&W snubbie is chambered for .38 special. I see these newer light weight snubbies in .357 and I wonder what the Hell people are thinking.

A .38 special 5 shot or .22mag mini-revover is all the gun I'd want to carry, or shoot.

I carry it on my side in a holster. Don't really try to conceal it although it is somewhat in the winter. Really more about the love affair people have with pit bulls on the back side of my place than anything else. If I really want to conceal something I stick an LCP in my pocket. But, that is pretty rare.

My usual carry is a NAA mini 5 shot .22 revolver. I'm still looking for a suitable pocket holster that protects the hammer from moving without snagging it during withdrawal.

I put this on mine. I find when I reach into my pocket my hand covers the hammer. I have not had any trouble with it snagging.

Never had any problems with it going off during withdrawal.
