If you think "nothing has changed" since FDR took office, you're nuts.

FDR died 4 days after I was born. (The shock must have been too great for him.) Believe me, Ed, a Lot has changed in my lifetime AND yours.

Up until Reagan, the trend has been almost entirely positive and since then, nearly all negative. Obama, in the face of unprecedented partisan obstruction, has made small yet significant progress in reversing the course of America's sickness.

The fly in the ointment, though, has been the continuous growth and power of the Military Industrial Complex, or as Eisenhower wanted to say, the Military Political Industrial Complex. All presidents since Wilson have catered to their every whim, even (beginning with the Powell Memorandum) to the point of allowing them to take control of our sources of news and communication, mass or otherwise.

This is the real threat to our existence as a free and representative democracy but no president, even Eisenhower who warned first warned us, has seen fit to try to rein in the power of the MPIC.

It will be interesting to see where Rubio voters wind up. My suspicion is Trump gets none of them. Cruz, because he plays the Jesus Card the same Way Rubio does, will get most of them. Kasich will get a handful.

The 'Pubs since absorbing the segregationists have been pandering the idiocracy, Trump has co-oped them.

Nice sermon.

The point is that the country has survived with good and bad leadership in the Oval Office.

I'd love it as long as Trump is denied the nomination, launches a 3rd party candidacy and this leads to the end of the GOP!!!!!

The party was stole from the many in 2000, now it's time for those who were pillaged to rise up and put it down.

though we were speaking as to who votes?

It was stated (in some way) that all the dolts are NOW voting... for TRump. Basically nothing has changed. People were always stupid less you and I.

It's the same old same old.

If you think the average human is different today... I wholly reject that. It takes thousands of years for people to "change." All that has rapidly changed is the stimuli they receive.
