So it's fine for this kid to fuck up every other kid's class time because its the enforcement of school rules by the "authority?"

Yep. Reckon if there would be the same outrage when she resisted a female officer and that officer dumped her out of her chair and dragged her out of the room? I've found female school cops and female truancy officers to be no less aggressive than the men.

There is a time for civil disobedience given a just cause. AFAIK, this young woman was being stubborn over cell phone usage in the classroom. Hardly a just cause for social upheaval. Put the damn phone away or leave the classroom. I don't see anything unreasonable about that.

Now, the officers handling of the situation.....................

so this is clearly a problem we did not deal with back when students respected authority. (my experience ended in the early 80s). so while her presence may have been disruptive it seems as if the escalation was the wrong move. maybe they should have waited for her to leave class, THEN arrest and/or expel her. things would have turned out differently for everyone and the student would not be getting a pay day in all probability.

So she gets to sit there on her cellphone or whatever she might have been doing, and the message to every kid in that class is...you can do whatever TF you want. You can screw up the class time for everybody else because entitlement is the new order and we're afraid to do anything about it that might upset American liberals.

yes, that you can do it once. and the staff would avoid the messy situation the resulted when the student was forcibly removed from class. I am not suggesting it is a good solution, but I am suggesting that it is a better solution than slamming her to the ground and dragging her out of the room.

I agree with your post except the bolded text. If liberals are for anarchy in the classroom, that makes me a conservative then.
