Yes and no, and I will let you figure out where the no applies. She may be politically very calculating but not an outright liar like the Fox Ten.

The attempt to railroad the Clintons with an unending stream of faux scandals has been virtually non-stop for a quarter century. Nothing has stuck but, nevertheless, some among us have bought that bridge anyway. It's understandable, I suppose, but it doesn't speak well for our ability to discern witch hunts from reality.

I'd agree up until the latest email scandal. Those unwilling or unable to understand the seriousness of this one do indeed have trouble discerning witch hunts from reality. The IG's and FBI don't do witch hunts, at least not in such matters.

FWIW, I had increasingly stringent levels of security clearances over a 38 year Federal career. The clearance I had for the last twenty years would have had me fired forthwith for security infractions much less severe than hers.

There's simply no excuse for what she did in this instance. The fact that she's the preordained Democratic nominee sure seems to have stripped Democratic ideologues of any semblance of objectivity.
