Meh..... As a voting bloc, uber-rich assholes are insignificant. Their power lies in their ability to buy legislation, legislators, judges and chief executives. Trump doesn't need their money. Not that he wouldn't take it if offered but right now the URAs are backing other horses. We'll see.

And with THAT, he could win. Probably not, but it's not a risk I'm happy with.

I'm willing to take that risk because first of all his chances are near zero of him winning in the general, and second of all, that nightmare scenario of him winning would be no worse than any of the other Republicans running. I mean seriously, as bad as a Trump Presidency would be, compare that to a Jeb Bush Presidency, or a Snot Walker Presidency.

It also depends on whether he intends to or actually follows up on this.

You mean play Kingmaker by dropping out and endorsing another candidate?

Trump has the ability to engender populist enthusiasm. I make his chances to win, as the Republican nominee, as greater than those of Walker or Bush.

Then we'll need a populist on the left to counter that.

Reagan was a mainstream politician, governor and actor with name recognition. Trump has the name recognition and is good at playing Trump. Not quite equal nor will Trump ever attain sainthood.

I just watched Mr. Wolf Blitzer presenting the last polls...
I am shocked.
