I have a question;

I have heard much emotional ado from people opposed to a ban of the Confederate flag.

My question is; What "ban"?

I have seen the South Carolina legislature order the removal of the flag from the state house. I have seen Tweets from the President and former Governor Romney expressing personal opinions regarding the flag. I have seen private corporations voluntarily remove the image of the flag from their t.v. programs and publications...............

Has anyone actually made a serious proposal regarding a ban of the flag?

Somehow, I doubt it.

See the OP. Seriousness in some doubt, though.

Alabama man fired for refusing to remove Confederate flag from truck:

Human interest story.

https://www.rawstory.com/2015/07/ala...mments/#disqus

Quote:
Phillip Sims said he does not normally drive to work at Turner Industries with the Confederate battle flag flying from his truck, but he said was running late Monday and didn’t have time to remove it, reported WHNT-TV.

Sims said a plant supervisor called him outside to discuss the flag, which he refused to remove.

“’Hey, we like your work here and we like you, but your flag — it’s going to have to go,'” Sims said the supervisor told him. “He said, ‘I hate to be the one to tell you that, but if you don’t I’m going to have to fire you.”

Sims didn’t explain why he had the flag on his flatbed pickup truck over the weekend, but he said he was glad he refused to remove it — even if it meant losing his job.

“I’m unemployed now but I still feel that I made the right decision,” he said.

It's natural to feel good about 'standing up for who you are.'

'Natural' means it's instinctive.

Instinctive means it's not rational, it's how folks are programmed.

What the Hell kind of Confederate Flag is that he's flying?

It's certainly not regulation.

There's a graphic added in the middle--some sort of cartoon rebel character. Seems to bear a sort of resemblance to Dylan Roof....
