There is one flag that represents this Nation. The Stars and Stripes.

Waving a Confederate flag means that you do not believe in this nation.. That you believe in the secession of the South.

I love it how these blowhards get up in arms about some immigrant flying a Mexican flag alongside the Stars and Stripes. Yet they wave the Confederate flag that is not even a flag of a nation, because they were crushed and defeated.

Lets just make flying the Confederate an act of treason and be done with it. Then we can lockup all these idiots that wave it.

So many of this nations problems would be solved by this.

It would take a constitutional amendment. The definition of treason that's in there does not include flag-waving.

Basically, you're talking thoughtcrime. You'd hate it if they got to use laws like that, no?

I'm down to alter the constitution. I mean we did fight a civil war and many people died.

The flag represents secession. It represents the idea that those who wave it wish to either secede or control the country. I don't get why it is just seen as a sign of supporting slavery.

The rebel flag is a perfectly good way for bigoted rednecks to identify themselves to the rest of society.

Dude, you'll never change the southern way of life no matter what flag you throw in their faces as right or wrong. And southern folks are not what you think they all are either. And IMO, the great north would be pissing in the wind if the south decided to pull away from the union again.
