Islam, in it's varieties, and Christianity, in it's varieties, are as 'ethnic' and 'hereditary' as Judaism. Human identity is a cultural legacy, not a biological one, but it is the creation of biology nonetheless, just done in software, not in DNA.

Pew's surveys are scientifically conducted and interpreted. They don't use language or jump to conclusions like " Nearly one out of four Arab Muslims in America says it’s okay to blow you up" or " Again, the number is far higher in reality or "or don’t know/refused to answer (which, let´s look the truth in the eyes, means they support Al-Qaeda)".

Must be the same folks that paraded in front of TV cameras post 9/11 claiming Islam to be a religion of peace. I would not believe a word. Talk is cheap so show me some actions. Not until their book is revised and that ain't gonna happen anytime soon.

The Koran is an interesting book in that it was written by the people who pushed Mohammed out of Mecca.

Did it ever occur to you provincials that I posted that story in the Friday thread because it was funny? I suppose you have to know the Quebecois mindset to see the humor in it.
Whatever John immediately jumped on it because I had not run it past Scopes then DQ maligned my cousin – although he later danced around his words rather that simply apologize.
I will try this once more with very simple words so that you can all understand. I do not hate Muslims. I do not love them either as we have absolutely nothing in common. I found my own version of organized religion false and so left the Church. I find their organized religion to be barbaric, especially their Sharia Law.
On half a dozen occasions Muslim men have accosted my wife, one even knocked her to the ground in his rush to get his suitcase from the carousel at National. Not that American men have treated her with the utmost courtesy as they have not. The next one who tries anything is going to be in for a hell of a shock – quite literally.

This is also the way I see it Rob. Islam as defined and constituted is a brutal religion and no one can convince me otherwise. I have often wondered what is an Islamic scholar? As I understand it, The Koran is a document to be taken verbatim and any reinterpretation can have disastrous consequences. No loopholes nor escape clauses in the book from what I know.

Yeah Rob, it is just like the tired old "if you make people register their purchases at a gun show the exact same way you do at a brick and mortar retailer it is a violation of the 2nd amendmant" from the NRA fanboys.
