I need my guns to protect me from all the paranoids and little dick syndrome crazies that have guns.

My question is; Are criminals and crazies manufacturing their own guns?
The answer, of course, is "No."
At some point they ALL pass through the hands of law abiding citizens. So, one would think gun owning, law abiding citizens would want to help us figure out what to do to keep them out of the hands of unsavory people, rather than dogmatically oppose any effort..............
So far, it's not looking like they even give a shit what happens outside their doors, so long as they have enough ammo to hold off the invaders for a while.

The background check does not work...no one checks the box next to the "are you a psychopath" question. IF they buy it at a store...

You got it. Any background check enhancement would have to far more in depth than what we have today and it would also have to cover the secondary market, somehow.
Problem is, we can't even have this discussion without causing a nationwide freakout.
