And OMG you agree with me? I suspect you agree with me quite often, but you have some blip that would somehow cause you to feel it would put you in some sort of inferior position to admit it.

And you mis-state what I believe is the most important point I was attempting to make. To many of these ultra-religious women it's not about submissiveness at all. They are just as invested in the "family honor" bullshit as their husbands, and just as actively participatory in the abuse. Suggesting that they're operating out of some conditioned submissiveness is letting them off the hook for what they fully participate in doing to their daughters. Providing them with any sort of excuse is something I will not do. They are not passively sitting around, privately bemoaning the fate that has befallen their daughters. At the very least it's, "...when I was your age it was my turn, now it's your turn." Yeh...well they're worse than the men in my book.
