Sure, we can kick around WHY Brown was like that but it all distills to his believing he was owed something not his.
Entitlement.

Would you forget Brown and Wilson for a second and consider what is being done with the word "entitlement" and consider the connections being made?
Government programs, Food Stamps, Section8, Unemployment, Medicare, Social Security, the myriad pension and retirement benefits, any benefits, public or private negotiated by organized labor or mandated by law.....
= "Entitlement".
Now;
"Entitlement" = "Theft", "Looting", "Violence", etc., etc............
Therefore;
"Entitlement" = "Bad".
Whatever "beast" the right has long wanted to kill = Entitlement, Entitlement = Crime, Crime is bad, entitlement is bad.
You don't see what's going on there?
Tell me; Before this Ferguson mess, when was the last time you heard the phrases "entitlement violence", "entitlement theft", "entitlement looting"......
I heard it for the first time a while back....
On EIB.
