That is the "cruks"of the whole situation. The alleged suspect in the homicide is on the team that enforces the law and works with the D.A. and the criminal justice system to bring people who break the law to trial. In fact it is most likely that Wilson himself knows some of the grand jurors (or they themselves have acted on evidence presented by Wilson to decide on probable cause in other cases in the recent past).
Now Wilson is who they are deciding on to prosecute or not.
My gut feeling is that the county and the local PD thought this thing was going to blow over just on what Wilson was planning on telling them. Except there are witnesses this time that seem to be telling a different story than their man.
If he is indicted the same system that was going to sort of provide a bulwark for him will the one tasked with putting him away. Who watches the watchmen indeed.
