Doesn't sound too reliable to me.

I'm waiting on the forensics to verify (or not) one of these eye witness accounts.

He's not the only one.

As for "forensics" this ain't CSI Miami.

The results are not going to be conclusive one way or the other.

Forensic results won't be conclusive by them self but will be used to verify eyewitness accounts and other evidence.

Like a puzzle, one has to look at all the pieces and how they fit together to see the big picture.

As far as the evidence.... Eye witness accounts are probably the least reliable evidence they have.

Eyewitness is NOT the same as personal involvement.

So in a Homicide investigation is it customary to give more credence to the testimony of the killer instead of that of uninvolved eyewitnesses?

Nobody knows better about their professional motivation to protect themselves and others.
