And it doesn't jive with eyewitness accounts.

Tiffany Mitchell, who saw what happened, told CNN that "it looked as if Michael was pushing off and the cop was trying to pull him in." Instead, a shot went off, the teen broke free, and the officer got out of the vehicle and ran about 20 feet in pursuit, she and co-worker Piaget Crenshaw said.

The preceeding event at the store does add credibility to the LEOs account of the encounter with the deceased.

According to the chief of Police
Quote:
The Ferguson police officer who shot Michael Brown didn't stop him because he was suspected in a convenience-store robbery, but because he was "walking down the middle of the street blocking traffic," the city's police chief said Friday.
Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson -- hours after documents came out labeling the 18-year-old Brown as the "primary suspect" in the store theft -- told reporters the "robbery does not relate to the initial contact between the officer and Michael Brown."
|
So how do you get that the cigars were used to initiate contact?

Speaking of wanting, is 'looking forward' to the toxicology report the stance of an unbiased observer?
|
Have you seen the relative size of this guy against known references? Check the surveillance tape, again.
As for being unbiased, "looking forward to" implies nothing about what could be in it.

Downhill form there.

Because you don't assault people by trying to get away from them.
You are also going to have a hard time convincing me that this officer was in "fear for his life" when he was the one doing the chasing with his gun drawn and the "300 lbs Thug" was unarmed and running away from him.

Zeke said the cigars were "appropriately used" by the officer to "initiate contact" with Brown.
According to the article I linked to the Chief of Police told reporters that the "robbery does not relate to the initial contact between the officer and Michael Brown."
Now, since what was robbed was cigars, there seems to be some kind of disconnect here.

I'll let Zeke reiterate the timeline.
