I once properly folded and burned an old, tattered and faded flag in my back yard. It was done quietly and respectfully.

A neighbor saw me and went nuts.

What is the proper way to dispose of a worn out flag, guys?

Dave

"According to United States Code found in Title 4, Chapter 1 pertaining to patriotic customs and observances:" Wiki
§8(k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.

but then you knew this...

How much compliance would have been enough? They supposed to smile, and say 'yes sir' a lot?' The guys would probably have cracked their heads for being smart-ass if they'd done that. They were enemies, after all, so nothing they did was going to be right.

There seem to be big questions about the compliance demanded in Ferguson. Enough that those cops who hassled reporters for no good reason (except that it's suggested they were just following orders) are re-lieved. State Police in charge now.

If you think this incident has as much to do with that as anything else, you catch on fast.

...it starts to become a waste of time to bother with the posts.

Of course Zeke pulls the shame shit with me when I take the time to post historical reference after historical reference on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, and the best Zeke can come up with is his opinion that I'm fulla shit. So maybe you guys are two peas in the same pod, eh?
I use pattern recognition.

Like the dude said

Once you know what part someone is playing you know everything you need to. So I look for a pattern to emerge. When you get good at it all you have to hear is a line or two of the script and you know exactly where it's going.

I had Zeke's number after the first post he made in the 18 and Dead Thread.

That's sort of generic. Perhaps you can explain just where the reporters violated a law in this case?

Tresspassing? Are we supposed to think the McDonald's management asked them to leave, and they did not comply?

Why were they ordered to clear everybody out of a Mickey Dees?

Was it part of Michele Obama's eat healthy initiative?
