FERGUSON, Mo. — In the five days since an unarmed young black man was fatally shot by a police officer here, the selective release of information about the shooting, and especially the anonymity granted to the officer, has stoked frustrations in this largely African-American community north of St. Louis, where residents describe increasingly tense relations with the police.
The police chief, Thomas Jackson, has repeatedly declined to identify the officer, who has been put on administrative leave. But on Wednesday, the chief did offer a new detail about the shooting, which has kindled nights of racial unrest and an unyielding police response with tear gas, rubber bullets and arrests.
Chief Jackson said that the officer who shot Michael Brown, 18, on Saturday was struck in the face during the encounter and treated at a hospital. Touching his own cheek, the chief said that a side of the officer’s face was swollen from what the police have described as a struggle in which Mr. Brown assaulted the officer and tried to take his gun — an account disputed by a witness, a friend of Mr. Brown’s who said his hands were raised when the last of several shots was fired.

So on Wednesday, four days after the shooting, the cops boss says the cop was injured and has a swollen face.
Isn't that like when someone gets in a car accident, and then after they talk to an attorney, they show up wearing a neck brace?

I haven't been here long enough to make an observation, but back in Polk County Florida where I lived for 37 years I noticed that whenever cops had anyone stopped it was almost always a black person. I swear it must have been better than 90%. And this was in a county with a 15% black population.

Have you seen the video the reporter made? He's obviously stonewalling the cops who have been instructed to clear the building. As bullheaded as someone who won't get out of the road.

Look TJ, your cred goes down the greasy chute when others post opinion developed on available facts on this or any subject and faced with that, the best you can come up with is...this guy sucks, that group sucks, he's a shill for the cops, she's a shill for the GOP, he's an asshole, she's a fucking liar...
If you can't put something up here that says more than it's your opinion that Zeke, or anybody else is (for example)...

...it starts to become a waste of time to bother with the posts.
Of course Zeke pulls the shame shit with me when I take the time to post historical reference after historical reference on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, and the best Zeke can come up with is his opinion that I'm fulla shit. So maybe you guys are two peas in the same pod, eh?

Looks like the governor is taking over Ferguson from the city and county police.
"The Justice Department is pushing ahead with a possible federal criminal prosecution of the officer who shot an unarmed black man in Ferguson Mo., where peaceful protests were taking place Thursday evening under the new direction of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Hoping to bring “a softer front” to the law enforcement presence in Ferguson after five nights of clashes between police and protesters, Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon said that the highway patrol would take over directing security in the city. His announcement came hours after President Obama sought to calm the racially tense situation.
Capt. Ron Johnson, who is black and said he grew up in the community, will oversee the protests and said “it means a lot to me personally that we break this cycle of violence.”" LATimes

Might as well burn it.
The damned thing was probably made in China anyway.
