OK, why is the president to blame for slaughter or potential slaughter in Iraq, and moved to order airstrikes to avoid such blame? Why is he NOT to blame, and not so mitivated, in the case of Congo, scene of huge repeated slaughters, or Nigeria, scene of repeated recent slaughters and outrages? Why is he not to blame, and so motivated, in the case of Syria, scene of massive slaughter?
It's because we invaded and occupied Iraq. Obama is stuck with blame inherited from George W. Bush.
