Unions exist to protect the workers from unfair treatment from management and their customers. In the case of schools, the customers happen to be parents who often will chuck fairness aside when their snot nosed kids complain about all the injustices heaped upon them by ol' teach.

Let's not forget all of the parents who are absolutely certain their kid is the next Einstein and when the little halfwit can't comprehend "See Spot Run"......they blame the school. Then there are the undisciplined parents raising obnoxious, undisciplined future convicts who blame the school for their kids cretinous behavior. Then there are the ones that think it's the public school systems job to hold Bible class every morning and never fail to be outraged when a teacher suggests that there might be more to the real world than a sheltered WASP upbringing can prepare them for. And, of course, blame the school for the decline of morality in our "Christian Nation".............

No, it's the all the schools fault and the answer is, obviously, to cut funding. That'll teach the Commie bastards.
