I saw an interview with one of the Iraqui soldiers last evening. His complaint was that their officers were the first to run away. He went on to say "When the Americans were here their officers fought alongside us, they did not lead from behind"

Also since most of them were Shia they saw no sense in defending Sunni areas.

I read both, and both showed that you were hedging. You acknowledged that many would not find WND to be a credible source, but did not state whether you considered it a credible source or not. That was my question - do you consider WND a credible source for much, all, a little or nothing. You might try a direct answer once and awhile; no one will ever match Ali for the rope-a-dope.

I will state that I find Mother Jones to be a credible source. Certainly it is slanted in its perspective, but it is old school journalism.

Something like this happened a day before Whell posted about it here....I think they were all evacuated safely. It was buried in a paragraph on the lead story in the LA times about Iraq the following morning after Whell's post. I was going to mention it here but I thought why bother.


And it was a guy from Mother Jones who released the secret video taping of Romney's 47 percent remark. And we all know what happened after that.
