Looks like privatization of military operations was a terrible mistake.

As was expecting the Iraqis to fight other Muslims.

As was going into Iraq in the first place.

I saw an interview with one of the Iraqui soldiers last evening. His complaint was that their officers were the first to run away. He went on to say "When the Americans were here their officers fought alongside us, they did not lead from behind"

Also since most of them were Shia they saw no sense in defending Sunni areas.
